RHV catalogue on magnetic tape was prepared in process of compilation of population II stars catalogue on magnetic tape (Pop2) at Astrophysical Department, Insitute of Physics, Lithuanian Academy of Sciences, under supervision of A. Bartkevicius. Printed version of RHV catalogue contains 633 nonvariable high-velocity stars north of Dec -20 degrees, brighter than 9.5 mvis. A detailed information on RHV catalogue is given in original publication RHV catalogue on magnetic tape contains some modifications and additions: 1. Stars from tables 1 and 2 are sorted according to RA (1950.0) in the same file. 2. In addition to original equatorial coordinates RA, Dec (1900.0), there are presented RA, Dec (1950.0, 1875.0, 1855.0), RA, Dec (1950.0) in radians, and galactic coordinates (l, b). 3. HD number is given instead of Flamsteed number or Bayer designation. 4. MDSP and MDSPS1 numbers in catalogues of metal-deficient stars (A. Bartkevicius, Bull. Vilnius Obs., No.51, 1980; No.68, 1984) are added. The author, N. Roman, discovered an error in the printed catalog in the correction for solar motion. She corrected this error and recomputed the orbital elements.

Identifying which systems are more likely to host an imageable planet can play an important role in the construction of an optimized target list for future direct imaging missions, such as the planned Coronagraph Instrument (CGI) technology demonstration for the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope. For single-planet systems, the presence of an already detected exoplanet can severely restrict the target's stable region and should therefore be considered when searching for unknown companions. To do so, we first analyze the performance and robustness of several two-planet stability criteria by comparing them with long-term numerical simulations. We then derive the necessary formulation for the computation of (a, R) analytic stability maps, which can be used in conjunction with depth-of-search grids in order to define the stable-imageable region of a system. The dynamically stable completeness (i.e., the expected number of imageable and stable planets) can then be calculated via convolution with the selected occurrence grid, obtaining a metric that can be directly compared for imaging prioritization. Applying this procedure to all the currently known single-planet systems within a distance of 50pc, we construct a ranked target list based on the CGI's predicted performance and SAG13 occurrence rates. Finally, we evaluate the importance of considering the radial velocity data from past Doppler surveys in order to rule out entire regions of our parameter space where, if a planet existed, it would have certainly been detected by previous RV observations.

The search for stars born in the very early stages of the Milky Way star formation history is of paramount importance in the study of the early Universe since their chemistry carries irreplaceable information on the conditions in which early star formation and galaxy buildup took place. The search for these objects has generally taken the form of expensive surveys for faint extremely metal-poor stars, the most obvious but not the only candidates to a very early formation. Thanks to Gaia DR2 radial velocities and proper motions, we identified 72 bright cool stars displaying heliocentric transverse velocities in excess of 500km/s. These objects are most likely members of extreme outer-halo populations, either formed in the early Milky Way build-up or accreted from since-destroyed self-gravitating stellar systems. We analysed low-resolution FORS spectra of the 72 stars in the sample and derived the abundances of a few elements. Despite the large uncertainties on the radial velocity determination, we derived reliable orbital parameters for these objects. The stars analysed are mainly slightly metal poor, with a few very metal-poor stars. Their chemical composition is much more homogeneous than expected. All the stars have very eccentric halo orbits, some extending well beyond the expected dimension of the Milky Way. These stars can be the result of a disrupted small galaxy or they could have been globular cluster members. Age estimates suggest that some of them are evolved blue stragglers, now on the subgiant or asymptotic giant branches.

We describe methods for extracting quantitative spectra and astrometric positions from objective prism plates. In particular, we have studied 7161 stars in eight fields along the south Galactic meridian using the 6{deg}+4{deg} objective prisms on the Curtis Schmidt telescope at Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory. In this paper we concentrate on techniques for deriving radial velocities and astrometric positions from opposed dispersion plate pairs. For our data the typical accuracy in radial velocity is ~8km/s. A catalog of 108 stars with high radial velocities is presented, which is complete (and unbiased in either kinematics or metallicity) to a limiting B magnitude of 12.5 in the eight fields studied. Only two of this sample of 108 stars have previously reported radial velocities.

Optical reflected light eclipse observations provide a direct probe of exoplanet scattering properties, such as from aerosols. We present here the photometric reflected light observations of WASP-43b using the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) WFC3/UVIS instrument with the F350LP filter (346-822nm) encompassing the entire optical band. This is the first reflected light photometric eclipse using UVIS in scanning mode; as such, we further detail our scanning extraction and analysis pipeline Arctor. Our HST WFC3/UVIS eclipse light curve for WASP-43b derived a 3{sigma} upper limit of 67ppm on the eclipse depth, which implies that WASP-43b has a very dark dayside atmosphere. With our atmospheric modeling campaign, we compared our reflected light constraints with predictions from global circulation and cloud models benchmarked with HST and Spitzer observations of WASP-43b. We infer that we do not detect clouds on the dayside within the pressure levels probed by HST WFC3/UVIS with the F350LP filter (P>1bar). This is consistent with the general circulation model predictions based on previous WASP-43b observations. Dayside emission spectroscopy results from WASP-43b with HST and Spitzer observations are likely to not be significantly affected by contributions from cloud particles.

The LSPM catalog is a comprehensive list of 61,977 stars north of the J2000 celestial equator that have proper motions larger than 0.15"/yr (local-background-stars frame). The catalog has been generated primarily as a result of our systematic search for high proper motion stars in the Digitized Sky Surveys using our SUPERBLINK software. At brighter magnitudes, the catalog incorporates stars and data from the Tycho-2 Catalogue (I/259) and also, to a lesser extent, from the All-Sky Compiled Catalogue of 2.5million stars (ASCC-2.5, Cat. I/280). The LSPM catalog considerably expands over the old Luyten (Luyten Half-Second [LHS, Cat. I/87] and New Luyten Two-Tenths [NLTT, Cat. I/98]) catalogs, superseding them for northern declinations. Positions are given with an accuracy of <~100 mas at the 2000.0 epoch, and absolute proper motions are given with an accuracy of ~8 mas/yr. Corrections to the local-background-stars proper motions have been calculated, and absolute proper motions in the extragalactic frame are given. Whenever available, we also give optical BT and VT magnitudes (from Tycho-2, ASCC-2.5), photographic BJ, RF, and IN magnitudes (from USNO-B1 catalog, I/284), and infrared J, H, and Ks magnitudes (from 2MASS, Cat. II/246). We also provide an estimated V magnitude and V-J color for nearly all catalog entries, useful for initial classification of the stars. The catalog is estimated to be over 99% complete at high Galactic latitudes (|b|>15{deg}) and over 90% complete at low Galactic latitudes (|b|>15{deg}), down to a magnitude V=19.0, and has a limiting magnitude V=21.0. All the northern stars listed in the LHS and NLTT catalogs have been reidentified, and their positions, proper motions, and magnitudes reevaluated. The catalog also lists a large number of completely new objects, which promise to expand very significantly the census of red dwarfs, subdwarfs, and white dwarfs in the vicinity of the Sun. All Luyten's NLTT stars north of the J2000 celestial equator that do not appear in the LSPM catalog are given in table3, with an explanation as to why they were not included in the LSPM catalog.

New uvby-beta data are provided for 442 high-velocity and metal-poor stars; 90 of these stars have been observed previously by us, and 352 are new. When combined with our previous two photometric catalogues, the data base is now made up of 1533 high-velocity and metal-poor stars, all with photometry and complete kinematic data. Hipparcos, plus a new photometric calibration for M_v_ also based on the Hipparcos parallaxes, provide distances for nearly all of these stars; our previous photometric calibrations give values for E(b-y) and [Fe/H]. The [Fe/H],V(rot) diagram allows us to separate these stars into different Galactic stellar population groups, such as old-thin-disk, thick-disk, and halo. The X histogram, where X is our stellar-population discriminator combining V(rot) and [Fe/H], and contour plots for the [Fe/H],V(rot) diagram both indicate two probable components to the thick disk.

We present the discovery of about 100 new high-proper motion stars in the region between 0^h^ and 7^h^ in right ascension and -63{deg} and -32{deg} in declination, with proper motions between 0.3 and 1.0arcsec/yr. In addition we have obtained improved coordinates and photographic photometry for another about 100 already known high-proper motion stars in the same region. In this study we have made use of APM measurements of UKST survey plates in 40 survey fields. Using all available information (position, proper motion, photographic R magnitude and B_J_-R colour index), we draw some preliminary conclusions on the nature of the new high-proper motion stars, particularly of extreme cases.

The observations of radial velocities of B8-A0 stars were produced in 1932-1937 with one-prism spectrograph and short camera giving a dispersion of 75{AA}/mm at H{gamma}. When reducing the observations the systematic error as described in our previous paper (I) has been taken into account. From the comparison of the radial velocities of 7 stars in common with two catalogues the systematic correction to our radial velocities was deduced, viz.+0.44+/-1.51km/s in the sense Moore-Simeis. In table XII there are given the final radial velocities for 91 stars with mean value of p.e. equal to +/-3.57km/s. In table XII are given observed velocities for 16 stars with variable radial velocities. Very large velocity of the star HD 161817 leads to the conclusion that this star belongs to the class of high-velocity stars.
