- Astron was a Soviet spacecraft launched on 23 March 1983, and it was operational for eight years as the largest ultraviolet space telescope during its lifetime. Astron's payload consisted of an 80 cm ultraviolet telescope Spica and an X-ray spectroscope. We present 159 low resolution spectra of stars obtained during the Astron space mission (Tables 4, 5; hereafter table numbers in Boyarchuk et al. 1994 are given). Table 4 (observational log, logs.dat) contains data on 142 sessions for 90 stars (sorted in ascending order of RA), where SED was obtained by scanning method, and then data on 17 sessions for 15 stars (also sorted in ascending order of RA), where multicolor photometry was done. Kilpio et al. (2016, Baltic Astronomy 25, 23) presented results of the comparison of Astron data to the modern UV stellar data, discussed Astron precision and accuracy, and made some conclusions on potential application areas of these data. Also 34 sessions of observations of 27 stellar systems (galaxies and globular clusters) are presented. Observational log was published in Table 10 and data were published in Table 11, respectively. Also 16 sessions of observations of 12 nebulae (Table 12 for observational log and Table 13 for data themselves) are presented. Background radiation intensity data (Table 14) are presented in Table 15. At last, data on comets are presented in different forms. We draw your attention that observational data for stars, stellar systems, nebulae and comets are expressed in log [erg/s/cm^2/A], while for comets data 10E-13 erg/s/cm^2/A units are used, hydroxyl band photometric data for comets are expressed in log [erg/s/cm^2], and for the background data it is radiation intensity expressed in log [erg/s/cm^2/A/sr]. - This paper is the first of a series whose aim is to perform a systematic study of A-type supergiant atmospheres and winds. Here we present a spectral atlas of 41 A-supergiants observed by us in high and medium resolution in the visible and ultraviolet. The atlas consists of profiles of the H{alpha}, H{beta}, H{gamma}, H{delta}, H{epsilon}, Ca II (H and K), Na I (D1 and D2), Mg II_4481_, Mg II [uv1] and Fe II [uv1, uv2, uv3, uv62, uv63, uv161] lines for 41 stars with spectral types ranging from B9 to A9 and luminosity classes Ia, Iab and Ib, and provides the basic data for a thoughtful study of these stars. The overall characteristics of the sample as well as the data reduction procedures are described. We also present some examples of spectral variability.

- We present an atlas of ultraviolet and infrared images of ~15750 local (d<~50Mpc) galaxies, as observed by NASA's Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE) and Galaxy Evolution Explorer (GALEX) missions. These maps have matched resolution (FWHM 7.5" and 15"), matched astrometry, and a common procedure for background removal. We demonstrate that they agree well with resolved intensity measurements and integrated photometry from previous surveys. This atlas represents the first part of a program (the z=0 Multiwavelength Galaxy Synthesis) to create a large, uniform database of resolved measurements of gas and dust in nearby galaxies. This atlas allows us estimate local and integrated star formation rates (SFRs) and stellar masses (M_*_) across the local galaxy population in a uniform way. In the appendix, we use the population synthesis fits of Salim+ (2016ApJS..227....2S and 2018ApJ...859...11S) to calibrate integrated M_*_ and SFR estimators based on GALEX and WISE. Because they leverage a Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS)-based training set of >100000 galaxies, these calibrations have high precision and allow us to rigorously compare local galaxies to SDSS results. We provide these SFR and M_*_ estimates for all galaxies in our sample and show that our results yield a "main sequence" of star-forming galaxies comparable to previous work. We also show the distribution of intensities from resolved galaxies in NUV-to-WISE1 versus WISE1-to-WISE3 space, which captures much of the key physics accessed by these bands.

- We present a search for stellar members of young associations within 150pc of the Sun, based on TGAS and an updated version of the BANYAN {Sigma} software to determine Bayesian membership probabilities that includes Gaia-2MASS color-magnitude diagrams. We identify 32 new F0-M3-type bona fide members of the 10-200Myr old Sco-Cen, Carina, Tucana-Horologium, Columba, and Octans associations and the AB Doradus, {beta} Pictoris, and Carina-Near moving groups. These new bona fide members have measurements of their full kinematics and literature data consistent with a young age. We also confirm the membership of 66 previously known candidate members using their Gaia-Tycho trigonometric distances or new literature radial velocities, and identify 219 additional new candidate members, most of which do not yet have a radial velocity measurement. This work is the first step toward a completeness-corrected survey of young association members based on Gaia DR2 in the near future.

- The tight correlations between supermassive black hole (SMBH) mass (MBH) and the properties of the host galaxy have useful implications for our understanding of the growth of SMBHs and of the evolution of galaxies. Here, we present newly observed correlations between MBH and the host galaxy total UV-[3.6] color (C_UV,tot_, Pearson's r=0.6-0.7) for a sample of 67 galaxies (20 early-type galaxies and 47 late-type galaxies) with directly measured MBH in the Galaxy Evolution Explorer/S4G survey. The colors are carefully measured in a homogeneous manner using the far-UV, near-UV, and 3.6{mu}m magnitudes of the galaxies and their multicomponent structural decompositions in the literature. We find that more massive SMBHs are hosted by (early- and late-type) galaxies with redder colors, but the M_BH_-C_UV,tot_ relations for the two morphological types have slopes that differ at ~2{sigma} level. Early-type galaxies define a red sequence in the M_BH_-C_UV,tot_ diagrams, while late-type galaxies trace a blue sequence. Within the assumption that the specific star formation rate of a galaxy (sSFR) is well traced by L_UV_/L_3.6_, it follows that the SMBH masses for late-type galaxies exhibit a steeper dependence on sSFR than those for early-type galaxies. The M_BH_-C_UV,tot_ and M_BH_-L_3.6,tot_ relations for the sample galaxies reveal a comparable level of vertical scatter in the log MBH direction, approximately 5%-27% more than the vertical scatter of the M_BH_-{sigma} relation. Our M_BH_-C_UV,tot_ relations suggest different channels of SMBH growth for early- and late-type galaxies, consistent with their distinct formation and evolution scenarios. These new relations offer the prospect of estimating SMBH masses reliably using the galaxy color alone. Furthermore, we show that they are capable of estimating intermediate black hole masses in low-mass early- and late-type galaxies.

- We compile a catalog of reliable BLA (thermally broadened Ly{alpha} absorber) candidates along seven active galactic nucleus sight lines from a larger set of Ly{alpha} absorbers observed by the Space Telescope Imaging Spectrograph on the Hubble Space Telescope (HST). We compare our measurements based on independent reduction and analysis of the data to those published by other research groups. We examine the detailed structure of each absorber and determine a reliable line width and column density. Purported BLAs are grouped into probable (15), possible (48), and non-BLA (56) categories. Based on 164 measured curve of growth (COG) HI line measurements, we statistically correct the observed line widths via a Monte Carlo simulation. Finally, we present new, high signal-to-noise ratio observations of several of the BLA candidate lines from Early Release Observations made by the Cosmic Origins Spectrograph on HST.

- We have investigated the broad-line Balmer decrements (H{alpha/H{beta}) for a large, homogeneous sample of Seyfert 1 galaxies and quasi-stellar objects (QSOs) using spectroscopic data obtained in the Sloan Digital Sky Survey. The sample, drawn from the Fourth Data Release, comprises 446 low-redshift (z<=0.35) active galactic nuclei (AGN) that have blue optical continua as indicated by the spectral slopes in order to minimize the effect of dust extinction. We find that (i) the distribution of the intrinsic broad-line H{alpha}/H{beta} ratio can be well described by log-Gaussian, with a peak at H{alpha}/H{beta}=3.06 and a standard deviation of about 0.03dex only; (ii) the Balmer decrement does not correlate with AGN properties such as luminosity, accretion rate and continuum slope, etc.; (iii) on average, the Balmer decrements are found to be only slightly larger in radio-loud sources (3.37) and sources having double-peaked emission-line profiles (3.27) compared to the rest of the sample. We therefore suggest that the broad-line H{alpha}/H{beta} ratio can be used as a good indicator for dust extinction in the AGN broad-line region; this is especially true for radio-quiet AGN with regular emission-line profiles, which constitute the vast majority of the AGN population.

- Most of the sources detected in the extreme ultraviolet (EUV; 100-600{AA}) by the ROSAT/WFC and EUVE all-sky surveys have been identified with active late-type stars and hot white dwarfs that are near enough to the Earth to escape absorption by interstellar gas. However, about 15 per cent of EUV sources are as yet unidentified with any optical counterparts. We examine whether the unidentified EUV sources may consist of the same population of late-type stars and white dwarfs. We present B and R photometry of stars in the fields of seven of the unidentified EUV sources. We detect in the optical the entire main-sequence and white dwarf population out to the greatest distances where they could still avoid absorption. We use colour-magnitude diagrams to demonstrate that, in most of the fields, none of the observed stars has the colours and magnitudes of late-type dwarfs at distances less than 100pc. Similarly, none of the observed stars is a white dwarf within 500pc that is hot enough to be a EUV emitter. The unidentified EUV sources we study are not detected in X-rays, while cataclysmic variables, X-ray binaries, and active galactic nuclei generally are. We conclude that some of the EUV sources may be a new class of nearby objects, which are either very faint at optical bands or which mimic the colours and magnitudes of distant late-type stars or cool white dwarfs. One candidate for optically faint objects is isolated old neutron stars, slowly accreting interstellar matter. Such neutron stars are expected to be abundant in the Galaxy, and have not been unambiguously detected.

- The star formation rate (SFR) is one of the main parameters used to analyze the evolution of galaxies through time. The need for recovering the light reprocessed by dust commonly requires the use of low spatial resolution far-infrared data. Recombination line luminosities provide an alternative, although uncertain dust-extinction corrections based on narrowband imaging or long-slit spectroscopy have traditionally posed a limit to their applicability. Integral field spectroscopy (IFS) is clearly the way to overcome this kind of limitation. We obtain integrated H{alpha}, ultraviolet (UV) and infrared (IR)-based SFR measurements for 272 galaxies from the CALIFA survey at 0.005<z<0.03 using single-band and hybrid tracers. We aim to determine whether the extinction-corrected H{alpha} luminosities provide a good measure of the SFR and to shed light on the origin of the discrepancies between tracers. Updated calibrations referred to H{alpha} are provided. The well-defined selection criteria and large statistics allow us to carry out this analysis globally and split by properties, including stellar mass and morphological type. We derive integrated, extinction-corrected H{alpha} fluxes from CALIFA, UV surface and asymptotic photometry from GALEX and integrated WISE 22{mu}m and IRAS fluxes. We find that the extinction-corrected H{alpha} luminosity agrees with the hybrid updated SFR estimators based on either UV or H{alpha} plus IR luminosity over the full range of SFRs (0.03-20M_{sun}_/yr). The coefficient that weights the amount of energy produced by newly-born stars that is reprocessed by dust on the hybrid tracers, a_IR_, shows a large dispersion. However, this coefficient does not became increasingly small at high attenuations, as expected if significant highly-obscured H{alpha} emission were missed, i.e., after a Balmer decrement-based attenuation correction is applied. Lenticulars, early-type spirals, and type-2 AGN host galaxies show smaller coefficients because of the contribution of optical photons and AGN to dust heating. In the local Universe, the H{alpha} luminosity derived from IFS observations can be used to measure SFR, at least in statistically-significant, optically-selected galaxy samples, once stellar continuum absorption and dust attenuation effects are accounted for. The analysis of the SFR calibrations by galaxies properties could potentially be used by other works to study the impact of different selection criteria in the SFR values derived, and to disentangle selection effects from other physically motivated differences, such as environmental or evolutionary effects.

- We present spectroscopic follow-up of candidate luminous Ly{alpha} emitters (LAEs) at z=5.7-6.6 in the SA22 field with VLT/X-SHOOTER. We confirm two new luminous LAEs at z=5.676 (SR6) and z=6.532 (VR7), and also present HST follow-up of both sources. These sources have luminosities L_Ly {alpha}_~=3x10^43^erg/s, very high rest-frame equivalent widths of EW_0_>=200{AA} and narrow Ly{alpha} lines (200-340km/s). VR7 is the most UV-luminous LAE at z>6.5, with M_1500_=-22.5, even brighter in the UV than CR7. Besides Ly{alpha}, we do not detect any other rest-frame UV lines in the spectra of SR6 and VR7, and argue that rest-frame UV lines are easier to observe in bright galaxies with low Ly{alpha} equivalent widths. We confirm that Ly{alpha} line widths increase with Ly{alpha} luminosity at z=5.7, while there are indications that Ly{alpha} lines of faint LAEs become broader at z=6.6, potentially due to reionization. We find a large spread of up to 3 dex in UV luminosity for >L* LAEs, but find that the Ly{alpha} luminosity of the brightest LAEs is strongly related to UV luminosity at z=6.6. Under basic assumptions, we find that several LAEs at z~=6-7 have Ly{alpha} escape fractions >=100 per cent, indicating bursty star formation histories, alternative Ly{alpha} production mechanisms, or dust attenuating Ly{alpha} emission differently than UV emission. Finally, we present a method to compute {xi}_ion_, the production efficiency of ionizing photons, and find that LAEs at z~=6-7 have high values of log_10_({xi}_ion_/Hz/erg)~=25.51+/-0.09 that may alleviate the need for high Lyman-Continuum escape fractions required for reionization.
