- This is the second paper of our series. In this paper, we present UBVRI photometry for 234 star clusters in the field of M33. For most of these star clusters, there is photometry in only two bands in previous studies. The photometry of these star clusters is performed using archival images from the Local Group Galaxies Survey, which covers 0.8deg^2^ along the major axis of M33. Detailed comparisons show that, in general, our photometry is consistent with previous measurements, and in particular that our photometry is in good agreement with that of Zloczewski & Kaluzny. Combined with star cluster photometry in previous studies, we present some results: none of the M33 youngest clusters (~10^7^yr) have masses approaching 10^5^M_{sun}_, and comparisons with models of simple stellar populations suggest a large range of ages for M33 star clusters and some as old as the Galactic globular clusters.

- We present a novel approach to constrain the formation channels of ultra-compact dwarf galaxies (UCDs). They most probably are an inhomogeneous class of objects, composed of remnants of tidally stripped dwarf elliptical galaxies and star clusters that occupy the high mass end of the globular cluster luminosity function. We use three methods to unravel their nature: 1) we analyzed their surface brightness profiles; 2) we carried out a direct search for tidal features around UCDs; and 3) we compared the spatial distribution of GCs and UCDs in the halo of their host galaxy. Based on FORS2 observations under excellent seeing conditions, we studied the detailed structural composition of a large sample of 97 UCDs in the halo of NGC1399, the central galaxy of the Fornax cluster, by analyzing their surface brightness profiles. We found that 13 of the UCDs were resolved above the resolution limit of 23pc and we derived their structural parameters fitting a single Sersic function. When decomposing their profiles into composite King and Sersic profiles, we find evidence for faint stellar envelopes at {mu}=~26mag/arcsec^2^, surrounding the UCDs up to an extension of 90pc in radius. We also show new evidence for faint asymmetric structures and tidal tail-like features surrounding several of these UCDs, a possible tracer of their origin and assembly history within their host galaxy halos. In particular, we present evidence for the first discovery of a significant tidal tail with an extension of ~350pc around UCD-FORS2. Finally, we studied the local overdensities in the spatial distribution of globular clusters within the halo of NGC1399 out to 110kpc to see if they are related to the positions of the UCDs. We found a local overabundance of globular clusters on a scale of <=1kpc around UCDs, when we compared it to the distribution of globulars from the host galaxy. This effect is strongest for the metal-poor blue GCs. We discuss how likely it is that these clustered globulars were originally associated with the UCD, either as globular cluster systems of a nucleated dwarf galaxy that was stripped down to its nucleus, or as a surviving member of a merged super star cluster complex.

- We characterize the first 40 Myr of evolution of circumstellar disks through a unified study of the infrared properties of members of young clusters and associations with ages from 2Myr up to ~40Myr: NGC1333, NGC1960, NGC2232, NGC2244, NGC2362, NGC2547, IC348, IC2395, IC4665, ChamaeleonI, OrionOB1a and OB1b, Taurus, the {beta} Pictoris Moving Group, {rho} Ophiuchi, and the associations of Argus, Carina, Columba, Scorpius-Centaurus, and Tucana-Horologium. Our work features: (1) a filtering technique to flag noisy backgrounds; (2) a method based on the probability distribution of deflections, P(D), to obtain statistically valid photometry for faint sources; and (3) use of the evolutionary trend of transitional disks to constrain the overall behavior of bright disks. We find that the fraction of disks three or more times brighter than the stellar photospheres at 24{mu}m decays relatively slowly initially and then much more rapidly by ~10Myr. However, there is a continuing component until ~35Myr, probably due primarily to massive clouds of debris generated in giant impacts during the oligarchic/chaotic growth phases of terrestrial planets. If the contribution from primordial disks is excluded, the evolution of the incidence of these oligarchic/chaotic debris disks can be described empirically by a log-normal function with the peak at 12-20Myr, including ~13% of the original population, and with a post-peak mean duration of 10-20Myr.

- We present a catalog of star clusters, associations, and related extended objects in the Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC) and the Magellanic Bridge with 2741 entries, a factor 2 more than a previous version from a decade ago. Literature data up until 2018 December are included. The identification of star clusters was carried out with digital atlases in various bands currently available in the Digitized Sky Survey (DSS) and the Machine Automatique a Mesurer pour l'Astronomie (MAMA) imaging surveys. In particular, we cross-identified recent cluster samples from the Visible and Infrared Survey Telescope for Astronomy (VISTA) near-infrared YJKs survey of the Magellanic System (VMC; Rubele+, 2015, J/MNRAS/449/639), Optical Gravitational Lensing Experiment IV (OGLE IV; Sitek+ 2017, J/AcA/67/363), and Survey of the MAgellanic Stellar History (SMASH; Piatti 2017ApJ...834L..14P) surveys, confirming new clusters and pointing out equivalencies. A major contribution of the present catalog consists of the accurate central positions for clusters and small associations, including a new sample of 45 clusters or candidates in the SMC and 19 in the Magellanic Bridge, as well as a compilation of the most reliable age and metallicity values from the literature. A general catalog must also deal with the recent discoveries of 27 faint and ultra-faint star clusters and galaxies projected on the far surroundings of the Clouds, most of them from the Dark Energy Survey. The information on these objects has been complemented with photometric, spectroscopic, and kinematical follow-up data from the literature. The underluminous galaxies around the Magellanic System, still very few as compared to the predictions from {Lambda} Cold Dark Matter simulations, can bring constraints to galaxy formation and hierarchical evolution. Furthermore, we provide diagnostics, when possible, of the nature of the ultra-faint clusters, searching for borders of the Magellanic System extensions into the Milky Way gravitational potential.

- We present 4.5, 8 and 16um photometry from the Spitzer Space Telescope for 204 stars in the Upper Scorpius OB association. The data are used to investigate the frequency and properties of circumstellar disks around stars with masses between 0.1 and 20 at an age of 5Myr. We identify 35 stars that have emission at 8 or 16um in excess of the stellar photosphere.

- The nature and origin of free-floating planets (FFPs) are still largely unconstrained because of a lack of large homogeneous samples to enable a statistical analysis of their properties. So far, most FFPs have been discovered using indirect methods; microlensing surveys have proved particularly successful to detect these objects down to a few Earth masses. However, the ephemeral nature of microlensing events prevents any follow-up observations and individual characterization. Several studies have identified FFPs in young stellar clusters and the Galactic field but their samples are small or heterogeneous in age and origin. Here we report the discovery of between 70 and 170 FFPs (depending on the assumed age) in the region encompassing Upper Scorpius and Ophiuchus, the closest young OB association to the Sun. We found an excess of FFPs by a factor of up to seven compared with core-collapse model predictions, demonstrating that other formation mechanisms may be at work. We estimate that ejection from planetary systems might have a contribution comparable to that of core collapse in the formation of FFPs. Therefore, ejections due to dynamical instabilities in giant exoplanet systems must be frequent within the first 10Myr of a system's life.

- We present the results of an intermediate resolution spectroscopic survey for pre-main sequence (PMS) stars in the Upper Scorpius OB association. In a 160 square-degree area we were able to identify 39 new PMS stars by follow up observations of X-ray selected stars with the multi object spectrograph FLAIR at the UK Schmidt Telescope. We also investigated the completeness of our X-ray selected sample by observing more than 100 stars that were not detected as X-ray sources, but have proper motions indicating membership to Upper Sco. While the new X-ray selected PMS stars with known proper motions have kinematics consistent with membership, none of the X-ray quiet proper motion candidates is a PMS star. We conclude that our X-ray selected sample of PMS stars seems to be rather complete. For stars in the magnitude interval 11.5<~B<~13.5 we derive a conservative lower limit of 75% completeness.

- We present the results of a deep ZYJ near-infrared survey of 13.5deg^2^ in the Upper Scorpius (USco) OB association. We photometrically selected ~100 cluster member candidates with masses in the range of 30-5 Jupiters, according to state-of-the-art evolutionary models. We identified 67 ZYJ candidates as bona fide members, based on complementary photometry and astrometry. We also extracted five candidates detected with Visible and Infrared Survey Telescope for Astronomy at YJ only. One is excluded using deep optical z-band imaging, while two are likely non-members, and three remain as potential members. We conclude that the USco mass function is more likely decreasing in the planetary-mass regime (although a flat mass function cannot yet be discarded), consistent with surveys in other regions.

- We have carried out a Galaxy Evolution Explorer (GALEX) Cycle 1 guest investigator program covering 56deg^2^ near the Taurus T association and 12deg^2^ along the northern edge of the Upper Scorpius OB association. We combined photometry in the GALEX far-ultraviolet and near-ultraviolet bands with data from the Two Micron All Sky Survey to identify candidate young (<~100Myr old) stars as those with an ultraviolet excess relative to older main-sequence stars. Follow-up spectroscopy of a partial sample of these candidates suggests five new members of Taurus, with 8-20 expected from additional observations, and five new members of Upper Scorpius, with three to six expected from additional observations.

- We investigate recent star formation in the extended ultraviolet (XUV) disks of five nearby galaxies (NGC 0628, NGC 2090, NGC 2841, NGC 3621, and NGC 5055) using a long wavelength baseline comprised of ultraviolet and mid-infrared imaging from the Galaxy Evolution Explorer and the Spitzer Infrared Array Camera. We identify 229 unresolved stellar complexes across targeted portions of their XUV disks and utilize spectral energy distribution fitting to measure their stellar ages and masses through comparison with Starburst99 population synthesis models of instantaneous burst populations. We find that the median age of outer-disk associations in our sample is ~100Myr with a large dispersion that spans the entire range of our models (1Myr to 1Gyr). This relatively evolved state for most associations addresses the observed dearth of H{alpha} emission in some outer disks, as H{alpha} can only be observed in star-forming regions younger than ~10Myr. The large age dispersion is robust against variations in extinction (in the range E(B-V)=0-0.3mag) and variations in the upper end of the stellar initial mass function (IMF). In particular, we demonstrate that the age dispersion is insensitive to steepening of the IMF, up to extreme slopes.
