- The "Data Inventory of Space-Based Celestial Observations Version 1.0" (DISCO) is a directory to data contained in sixteen catalogs dealing with observations from space. (Sounding rocket, solar, and planetary observations have been excluded.) The information extracted from the catalogs includes names of objects observed, 1950 equatorial coordinates, and the name of the catalog or instrument. A second file contains full references to the source catalogs and other pertinent information. The purpose of creating DISCO is (1) to unify astronomical observations from space, which are at present scattered and hard to locate, and then (2) to provide a machine-readable index to these observations, thus enabling easy access by computer. Such a directory will permit an astronomer to find out what objects have been observed from space, which spacecraft and instruments made the observations, and where to go to find the data themselves.

- Using a sample of 81 Galactic, detached eclipsing binary stars we investigated the global zero-point shift of their parallaxes with the Gaia Data Release 2 (DR2) parallaxes. The stars in the sample lay in a distance range of 0.04-2kpc from the Sun. The photometric parallaxes {omega}_Phot_ of the eclipsing binaries were determined by applying a number of empirical surface brightness-color (SBC) relations calibrated on optical-infrared colors. For each SBC relation we calculated the individual differences d{varpi}_i_=({varpi}_Gaia_-{varpi}_Phot_)_i_ and then we calculated unweighted and weighted means. As the sample covers the whole sky we interpret the weighted means as the global shifts of the Gaia DR2 parallaxes with respect to our eclipsing binary sample. Depending on the choice of the SBC relation the shifts vary from -0.094 to -0.025mas. The weighted mean of the zero-point shift from all colors and calibrations used is d{omega}=-0.054+/-0.024mas. However, the SBC relations based on (B-K) and (V-K) colors, which are the least reddening dependent and have the lowest intrinsic dispersions, give a zero-point shift of d{omega}=-0.031+/-0.011mas in full agreement with results obtained by Lindegren+ (2018A&A...616A...2L) and Arenou+ (2018A&A...616A..17A). Our result confirms the global shift of Gaia DR2 parallaxes of d{omega}=-0.029mas reported by the Gaia team, but we do not confirm the larger zero-point shift reported by a number of follow-up papers.

- Massive Population II galaxies undergoing the first phase of vigorous star formation after the initial Population III stage should have high energy densities and silicate-rich interstellar dust. We have modeled the resulting far-infrared spectral energy distributions (SEDs), demonstrating that they are shifted substantially to bluer ("warmer") wavelengths relative to the best fitting ones at z~3, and with strong outputs in the 10-40{mu}m range. When combined with a low level of emission by carbon dust, their SEDs match that of Haro 11, a local moderately low-metallicity galaxy undergoing a very young and vigorous starburst that is likely to approximate the relevant conditions in young Population II galaxies. We expect to see similar SEDs at high redshifts (z>~5) given the youth of galaxies at this epoch. In fact, we find a progression with redshift in observed galaxy SEDs, from those resembling local ones at 2<~z<4 to a closer resemblance with Haro 11 at 5<~z<7. In addition to the insight on conditions in high-redshift galaxies, this result implies that estimates of the total infrared luminosities at z~6 based on measurements near {lambda}~1mm can vary by factors of 2-4, depending on the SED template used. Currently popular modified blackbodies or local templates can result in significant underestimates compared with the preferred template based on the SED of Haro 11.

- Fast radio bursts (FRBs) are short-lived (~ms), energetic transients (having a peak flux density of ~Jy) with no known prompt emission in other energy bands. We present results of a search for prompt X-ray emissions from 41 FRBs using the Cadmium Zinc Telluride Imager (CZTI) on AstroSat, which continuously monitors ~70% of the sky. Our searches on various timescales in the 20-200keV range, did not yield any counterparts in this hard X-ray band. We calculate upper limits on hard X-ray flux, in the same energy range and convert them to upper bounds for {eta}: the ratio of X-ray to radio fluence of FRBs. We find {eta}<=10^8-10^ for hard X-ray emission. Our results will help constrain the theoretical models of FRBs as the models become more quantitative and nearer, brighter FRBs are discovered.

- Dynamical evolution models of 361 extragalactic Fanaroff-Riley type II radio sources selected from the Cambridge 3CRR, 6CE, 5C6, and 5C7 Sky Surveys, as well as the Bologna B2, Green Bank GB, and GB2 Surveys, are presented. Their spectra, compiled mostly from the recent catalogs of radio sources and the available NASA/IPAC and Astrophysical Catalogs Support System databases, along with morphological characteristics of the sources determined from their radio maps, have been modeled using the DYNAGE algorithm and/or its extension (KDA EXT) for the hypothetical case of further evolution after the jet's termination. The best-fit models provide estimates of a number of important physical parameters of the sources, as (i) the jet power, (ii) the density distribution of the external gaseous medium surrounding the radio core and the jet propagating through it, (iii) the initial energy distribution of the relativistic particles accelerated at the shock fronts, and (iv) the age of the observed radio structure. Additionally, estimates of some derivative parameters are provided, e.g., the radio lobes' pressure, their longitudinal expansion velocity, the magnetic field strength, and the total energy deposited in the lobes. The observed spectra and their best-fit models are included. Finally, one of the useful applications of the above models is presented, namely a strong correlation between the ambient medium density and the rest-frame two-point spectral index available directly from the observed spectra.

- We present an up-to-date catalog of intrinsic iron abundance spreads in the 55 Milky Way globular clusters (GCs) for which sufficiently precise spectroscopic measurements are available. Our method combines multiple data sets when possible to improve the statistics, taking into account the fact that different methods and instruments can lead to systematically offset metallicities. Only high spectral resolution (R>14000) studies that measure the equivalent widths of individual iron lines are found to have uncertainties on the metallicities of the individual stars that can be calibrated sufficiently well for the intrinsic dispersion to be separated cleanly from a random measurement error. The median intrinsic iron spread is found to be 0.045dex, which is small but unambiguously measured to be nonzero in most cases. There is large variation between clusters, but more luminous GCs, above 10^5^L_{sun}_, have increasingly large iron spreads on average; no trend between the iron spread and metallicity is found.

- The Guide Star Photometric Catalog (GSPC) is an all-sky set of 1477 photoelectrically determined BV sequences covering the magnitude range from 9 to 15. The GSPC was created to provide photometric calibrators for the HST Guide Star Catalog (GSC). Each sequence nominally contains (at least) six stars, each with a photometric precision of 0.05 mag. In practice, a small number of sequences contain fewer stars; and the precisions achieved for the faintest stars are more nearly 0.1 mag. For declinations greater than +3 degrees the sequences generally lie near the centers of the original Palomar Observatory - National Geographic Society Sky Atlas. Other sequences lie near the centers of the ESO/SERC Southern Sky Atlas. The catalog also includes a list of suspected variable stars, a bibliography of literature sequences, and additional information which was useful in the data reduction and for quality control of the final catalog. The full catalog is made of 7 FITS files: tables 1 to 5, references (table 6 of the paper) and the actual catalogue (table 7 of the paper). The ascii versions of Tables 1 to 5 are included in this file; the ascii version of the references (refs.dat) and of the actual catalogue (catalog.dat) are described here. The updated version 1 was created by replacing photometric sequences P040, P421, S335 and S742 in GSPC version 1. The updated sequences have improved photometry and/or positions. In addition the sigma's in V and B-V (here e_V and e_B-V) were replaced with the values provided by the authors when we noted a discrepancy with the published values.

- We publish 1653 CCD photometric sequences in the Johnson-Kron-Cousins standard system, distributed both in the northern and southern hemispheres, useful for the calibration of photographic photometry of Schmidt survey plates. The collection and reduction of the CCD data presented here are part of a long-term program devoted to the construction of the Second Guide Star Photometric Catalog (GSPC-II). The GSPC-II is an all-sky catalog of photometric stellar sequences with a limiting magnitude of V=19 or fainter, in the (B), V, and R passbands of the Johnson-Kron-Cousins system. Standard photometric errors are at the level of ~ 0.07 for a V ~ 19 magnitude star. These sequences are being used by teams of the Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI) and the Osservatorio Astronomico of Torino (OATo) for the photometric calibration of the Second Guide Star Catalog.

- We investigate the spatial distribution, the space velocities and age distribution of the pre-main sequence (PMS) stars belonging to Ophiuchus, Lupus and Chamaeleon star-forming regions (SFRs), and of the young early-type star members of the Scorpius-Centaurus (Sco-Cen) OB association. These young stellar associations extend over the galactic longitude range from 280 to 360 degrees, and are at a distance interval of around 100 and 200pc. We present a compilation of PMS and early-type stars members of the investigated SFRs and OB associations. For these lists of stars we give the data used for the study of kinematic properties: positions, adopted distances, proper motions and radial velocities (whenever available), and the basic stellar data, used for the construction of Hertzsprung-Russel diagrams. All data have been taken from the literature. We also present the derived XYZ positions on the Galactic system, UVW components of the space velocities, visual extinction, and bolometric luminosity.
